Alternative health and medicine became interesting to me about 25 years ago after finding myself becoming more and more “sick” on the “allopathic” road to (un-)health. Something told me I would never become healthy again unless I took responsibility for my health and found alternative solutions. After experimenting with aromatherapy, herbs, vitamins and supplements, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, energy healing and several other alternative healing modalities, I found that none were able to elicit a cure for my long list of chronic ailments, although they all helped. I knew there had to be something that could help me “holistically” not just physically. I understood that stress and unhappiness (as I was in a non-resonant job and relationship) were part of the reason I was stuck in a downward spiral of ‘unhealth’, and that my mental/emotional state of mind had to be addressed too. Luckily, I found Heilkunst and the HCH, and became a patient and a student. As a requirement for all students, I underwent Heilkunst treatment throughout my 4 yrs of education (which was only the beginning) and soon found much more than I expected. Not only did it prove to be the key to physical health and true cure, I became much healthier on all levels – mind, body, spirit, soul. Through the course of the first two years of treatment, this new path led to meaning in my life, along with a new lifestyle, career, relationships, and residence. The treatment changed “me”, so that whatever was unhealthy in my life vanished, to allow for something new and healthier to come in. My long list of physical ailments was also disappearing. I graduated from the HCH with the DHHP and DynBC in 2004. Since then I have been granted the Doctor of Medical Heilkunst (DMH) accreditation by the CIHA. I live in beautiful Taos, New Mexico and have a private practice under the name of Wholistic Health (formerly High Desert Homeopathy in Santa Fe). I’m very excited about the health I know that many patients will find through this wonderful art of medicine, and for the continued challenges and opportunities for growth and learning that my patients will offer me. It takes a leap of faith to embark on this journey back to health. I will be honored to assist you and support you in this ‘partnership’ with you, if you so desire.
